Julia-roberts
Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Her grandfather, her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer was one of the first Roberts to settle in Atlanta. At an early age, her father was interested in theatre. He acted on the Emory University campus in 1952 and also in a variety of productions that were staged around Atlanta. After he enlisted in the Air force, he appeared with Betty Lou Bredemus in Biloxi. The two married in 1955, and their first son Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter attended Tulane University at New Orleans in the year 1957, after they had separated from the Air Force of the United States. Walter worked for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1960, the family relocated in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show for kids named Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. It was a venture they self-financed. In 1964 Walter and Betty Lou founded their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. It ran for six years. In the meantime, they were blessed with two additional youngsters Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965, as well as Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
