April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She began with guitar and piano in the 7th grade, which ignited the interest of her. April's first song was Different which she composed at 12 years of age. The singer spent much of her time at 14 writing songs and practicing music. Then, in the following months, April began traveling with her father and to write songs in NY and LA. April was also able to add other themes in the tune "Take My Hand" for some of friends who dealt with issues such as peer pressurization disabilities, and even teenage suicide. Lockhart is a partner at the well-known cosmetics brand Ilia as well as a lifestyle influencer with a huge following of her own. As a woman born with no left hand, the woman is an important part of herself. But it's not her entire story. Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't conceal her handicap, but it doesn't focus solely on her disability. What is the message? The message is That we all carry many identities, we're way more diverse than we think we are. Lockhart talks through video from Nashville. "I don't want it to define my personal life. I do not want to be merely known as a disability expert. It doesn't impact my everyday life. I do my normal activities and have adjusted to my disabilities. This is a major element of my life therefore it's important to discuss it. Lockhart encourages us to keep striving to be self-accepting. Still, she admits that she went through a series of phases in her body, and felt uncomfortable in certain situations wearing clothing that displayed her arms. The woman now puts on whatever clothes she wishes and shares pictures on Facebook in awe. It's all a process is the key thing I'm not sure if will ever be the end about self-love. However, that is typical for people with doubts. I think it is important to surround yourself with those who are able to see your.
